Coastal Pet Rescue Suggests: Give Gifts of Love and Family to Orphaned Pets This Holiday Season
Savannah, GA (PRWEB) November 11, 2006 -- Give the gifts of love and family to orphaned pets this holiday season.
Beginning November 6th, Coastal Pet Rescue will join paws with Helen Woodward Animal Center, The Iams Company and more than 2,100 pet adoption centers for Iams Home 4 the Holidays 2006, an event organized to raise awareness of the joys of owning shelter-adopted pets.
"This is our fourth year participating," says Lisa Scarbrough. "Nothing would make us happier than to see each of our rescued pets in a new home this holiday season."
This year, Coastal Pet Rescue introduces the Santa's Little Orphans' Tree fundraiser. Local businesses will host Christmas trees featuring ornaments of pets for adoption along with a wish list of items they want. Individuals may pick up an ornament, go shopping, and return the ornament and gifts or monetary donations back to the business. Participating businesses include Savannah Toyota, Animal Instincts, Canine Palace, Cat Care Clinic, Crossroads Animal Hospital, Davenport Designs, The Supper Studio, Boat Center, Shady Pines and Punch and Judy.
Additionally, adopters during the two-month campaign will receive a free 8x10 pet portrait from Rosen Art, $5 off grooming at Animal Instincts, $10 off a pet first aid and CPR class from the Savannah Chapter of the American Red Cross, a pass for two adults aboard Capt. Mike's Dolphin Tours and a CD single from local performer Josh Holley. The first, tenth and twentieth adopters will receive tickets for two for a performance at the Savannah Theatre.
Sponsors for this year's campaign include COMCAST, The Crab Shack, Savannah Toyota, The Sullivan Group, The Wound Care Clinic, Crossroad Animal Hospital, At Home Pet Sitters, The Coastal Real Estate Group, Elegant Gifts, Mermaid Cottages and Sadonta Consulting.
The Home 4 the Holidays campaign begins November 6 and will continue through December 29 with an adoption goal of 20 pets and a fundraising goal of $3,000.
